For Users Without Windows 11 Pro Installed

Step 1: Check Your Current Windows Version

  1. Press Win + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to System → About.
  3. Under Windows Specifications, check your edition (e.g., Home, Pro, etc.).

Step 2: Upgrade to Windows 11 Pro

  1. Open Settings:
    • Click the Start button and select Settings (gear icon).
  2. Go to Activation:
    • Navigate to System → Activation in the Settings menu.
  3. Upgrade to Pro:
    • In the Activation section, look for the option that says Upgrade your edition of Windows.
    • Click Change product key.
    • Enter your 25-character Windows 11 Pro product key and click Next.
  4. Download and Install Windows 11 Pro:
    • If the upgrade requires additional downloads, Windows will guide you through the process.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.

Step 3: Activate Windows 11 Pro

  1. Once the upgrade is complete, your device will automatically prompt you to activate Windows.
  2. If it doesn’t, repeat the steps in the Activating Windows 11 Pro section below.

 

For Fresh Installation of Windows 11 Pro

If you need to do a clean installation of Windows 11 Pro:

Step 1: Prepare Installation Media

  1. Download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s official site: Download Windows 11.
  2. Use the tool to create a bootable USB drive.

Step 2: Install Windows 11 Pro

  1. Insert the bootable USB into your PC.
  2. Restart the computer and boot from the USB (you may need to change the boot order in your BIOS settings).
  3. Follow the installation prompts and select Windows 11 Pro as the edition to install.
  4. Enter your product key during installation when prompted.
  5. Complete the installation process.

Step 3: Post-Installation Activation

  1. After installation, open Settings → System → Activation.
  2. Click Change product key if the system hasn’t automatically activated.
  3. Enter your 25-character product key and click Activate.

 

Activating Windows 11 Pro

  1. Open Settings:

    • Click on the Start button (Windows icon) in the taskbar.
    • Select Settings (gear icon).

  2. Navigate to Activation:

    • In the Settings window, click on System.
    • Scroll down and select Activation.

  3. Enter Product Key:

    • In the Activation section, click on Change product key.
    • A dialog box will appear; enter your 25-character product key here.
    • Click Next to proceed.

  4. Activate Windows:

    • After entering the product key, click on Activate.
    • Windows will verify the key and activate your copy of Windows 11 Pro.

Once activated, your Windows 11 Pro will be fully functional, granting you access to all features and updates.

Note: Ensure your device is connected to the internet during activation, as Windows needs to communicate with Microsoft’s servers to verify the product key.
